Coffee and Conversation!

March 12, 2021

Welcome to Coffee & Conversation!

I am using this as a way to wrap up our week, and share recent purchases we love, or just about what's happening over here,

 I know you are curious.

So, grab a cup a coffee and lets chat about a few things.

First off, I finally stopped crying over Ella getting her license.

Ok, maybe I am not crying as much. I knew I would have to face this someday, but man it was a tough day.

I cried because, I miss Sonny not being here to see her drive, I cried because she grew up too fast, I cried just because.....

Are you the Mom of a teenage driver? How did you get thru it?

Hugs to you!

Here Ella is leaving the driveway for the first time alone

We are looking forward to some warmer weather, as I am sure you all are. We have been on spring break this week and really need the time to just, chill. We have big family beach trip coming in April, and we are all very excited about too.

I can't be the only one that has been keeping the Amazon guy in business, y'all know your ordering a bunch of stuff too.

I purchased this organizer and I love it because, it spins for easy access, has adjustable shelves and its easy to clean.  I don't use a bunch of products or makeup, but what I do have, I like it to be organized and easily accessible.

We reactivated our Planet Fitness membership and got to go a few times this week, it felt good. Our membership had been on hold since early in the pandemic. I like to work out and my reward is the hydro bed and the tanning bed at the end....sooo relaxing. They have now increased their hours. See more about that here.

Have you went back to the gym yet?

I finally got this lovely bookcase for our living room and let me tell you, she is beautiful.

The curve of the at the top was a nice touch, and the gold color and I was in love.

We go back to school on March 15th, with kids in different cohorts, but it is a step in the right direction. I have been in school since this started last year. Ella has been virtual, but will go back 3 days in school and 2 virtual.
Baby steps, we will get there.

What is the one thing you look forward to doing again that you have been unable to doing during the pandemic?

Me, I have really missed concerts.
We have Garth tickets and they have rescheduled several times, I mean its Garth, we will wait for as long as it takes.

We attended the Taste of Supperland recently, and it was beyond delicious and perfect. Oh, the hot onion dip never had a chance!
A blog post will be coming soon about that night.
In the meantime, check out Supperland here to make a reservation.

Porridge Bread with cultured beet butter

Roasted Oysters with smoking ember butter
This smelled like butter and wood chips,
when it came to the table. MMMMM!

I saw this curved entry on this Instagram story, and I am going to convince Gary to please do this in our foyer. Go check it out!

Something about curved walls and doorways seem so classic.

I am going to leave you with a few pics of our beach trip.
We stayed at a new resort, more on that will be coming soon.

One of the many indoor pools and they are heated

The views were amazing

Balcony sunrise pics are a must

Water Slides are perfect for the kids

So, that's about it for this week, I hope to see yo next Friday for more coffee and conversation.
